What changes the price

Size and volume — a bigger or thicker part uses more material and more hours on the machine.
Material — PLA is the economical everyday choice; PETG costs a little more and is used where heat, sun or stress is involved.
Infill and wall thickness — a decorative piece can be mostly hollow, a load-bearing bracket cannot.
Layer height — finer layers look better but take longer to print.
Quantity — printing several of the same part together brings the cost per piece down.
Finishing — supports removal, sanding, gluing multi-part assemblies or painting add time.
Design work — if there is no 3D file yet, modelling it is a separate one-off cost.

How to keep the cost down

Ask whether the part can be scaled down or hollowed out — often it can.
Let us pick the material unless you have a reason not to; we will choose the cheapest one that will actually last.
Order the quantity you expect to need in one go rather than in ones and twos.
Accept a slightly coarser layer height for parts nobody will look closely at.
